Empties Post!

Hey guys!
So I'm doing an empties post just because I really enjoy reading these myself, seeing products that people really loved and used up.

So first up is kind of a boring one but I really liked it so felt like it deserves a mention!
It's a shower gel/body wash from No7. At Christmas time I tend to accumulate a lot of bath products, it's my birthday at that time as well so I get a lot of those special Christmas gift sets and enough body butters and shower gels to keep me going all year. This was one that I've got the past few Christmas's and I really enjoy using it, it smells amazing and moisturises the skin so it's definitely a favourite of mine. I will re-purchase this when I get through all of my other shower gels and I recommend it if anyone is looking for a new shower gel that's a bit rich and decadent.

Next up is another No7 product, I am a No7 fan just because their products are so kind to skin! I've already done a full review of this foundation so you can check that out if you like, I've already re-purchased it also because it is my current go-to foundation and is amazing for a be coverage and oily skin.

I also did a mini review on these Nyx butter glosses, this is in the shade Tiramisu and it is perrrrrfect. It's so natural, the formula is amazing and it is a handbag essential. For more on this check out the full review post :)

I also recently finished this foundation it's the well-known Mac studio fix and I have already re-purchased it, I always like to have this in my collection. This is the foundation I use when I'm going out, I find it a bit heavy to wear during the day because it is full full coverage but it's perfect for a night out or any nighttime event. I use the shade NC20 which matches me perfectly when I am tanned, the NC shades do pull very yellowy but this isn't a problem if you naturally have yellow undertones to your skin. If you haven't tried this already you do need to, it's especially good for oily skin types but it works on most people. It's a satin finish but even used with a mattifying powder it gives a gorgeous glow to the skin without looking shiny. It is €36.50 as far as I can remember from Brown Thomas.

The last two empties I have are from Lush. I will probably do loads of Lush product reviews because I swear by them and use them every single day. The first thing is a fresh face mask and it is Catastrophe Cosmetic. When I got this, I actually had no breakouts so the girl in the shop recommended this just to keep my skin clear and fresh. I tried to tell her that I suffered really badly with spots but she was like 'But your skin looks great today?'. If you don't suffer from acne you won't understand that while one day your skin could be fine, you could wake up the very next morning looking very grim indeed. I decided to buy this anyways because it is apparently Lush's best selling face mask and I wanted to check it out. To be honest I wasn't that impressed with this face mask. The consistency of this is really solid, so I found it hard to blend evenly on my face. Some parts were covered lightly and others had huge chunks of product on. It reminded me of clay, the kind that you make little bowls with in school. I left the mask on for around 10 minutes as is recommended, but after the 10 mins the mask really dries out and hardens so that anytime you move your face.. Bits fall off all over the place. Not ideal!
On the plus side it does smell pleasant, it's made up primarily of calamine lotion and blueberries and it really does have a calming effect on the skin. It did reduce the redness of spots but it doesn't actively fight them or prevent them from popping up. My sister tried this mask out with me, she has very dry skin and she found it absolutely amazing. It really conditioned her skin and left it soft and smooth. I will re-purchase this mask and I might try adding a bit of water to it before applying it. I don't feel like it's a bad product but because I do experience breakouts out of nowhere, I usually require ingredients that are going to fight spots quickly and act as an antibacterial etc. This face mask doesn't do that, but it is great for balancing out oils, reducing redness and conditioning the skin.

My last item is my favourite and it is the Angels on Bare Skin cleanser from Lush. I only started using this a couple of months ago but I am obsessed with it! It's made up of tons of ingredients that are great for your skin but it's mainly ground almonds and lavender oil. It smells divine it's just a really really powerful lavender smell. I used this cleanser in the morning before makeup, to remove makeup and to cleanse after removing my makeup. I used it both in the shower and at the sink, basically just whenever I could! The effect it had on my skin was incredible, it calmed down breakouts and cleared up all the angry spots I had. The natural oils in it also left my skin really soft and nourished, but not oily. I just feel like when I use this that my skin is actually clean and that my pores are clear. I'm currently out of it and I'm trying out another Lush cleanser, but I will be buying it again very soon because I can't live without it!

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful! Thanks for reading,
Caoimhe x
